Here is a twist out using BeijaFlora Cocoa Mango Buttercreme. I absolutely love this product! I only ordered a 2 oz sample to test it out and now I’m ready to order the full size. Oh and did I mention, it smells like banana creme pie 🙂
It’s been a while since I spent my weekend doing my hair. With the New York subways shut down as Hurricane Irene draws near, we won’t be venturing out this weekend. This will give me a chance to catch up on my blog and watch You Tube videos 🙂 It also means I can finally Henna my hair!!!
I try to apply a Henna treatment every 3 months. It is a long process and I have to be in the mood to do it. The last time I did a treatment was in May so it is definitely time. Those gray hairs are starting to resurface 🙂
I received a new shipment on Monday and have been itching to try out the contents. The urge got so bad I decided to wash my hair mid week to try out my new Mason Pearson comb and Curly Junkie Smoothing Lotion.
Let me just say…I LOVE MY NEW COMB and the Smoothing Lotion is AWESOME!!! I was so impressed with the results, I just had to take a picture for you all 🙂
I’ll be taking them down for my date night with my hubby and will take pictures and include my review in the coming days.
Learning how to care for my hair during the summer has been interesting to say the least. It is definitely a science when it comes to knowing how the ingredients in your styling products react in different types of weather.
While researching ways to reduce the frizz that is caused by moisture in the air aka humidity, I came across a product line that does just that.
So I’m reading my subscriptions to my favorite blogs and see post after post about a contest for a new Natural hair product line called Enso Naturals. After reading the description of the products they were giving away and seeing the ingredient list, I figured I’d try my luck and submit my name. I must have entered about 4 different contests with the hopes that I would be selected.
A good friend and fellow PJ recommended a product line that is great for anyone who is transitioning or for anyone who wants the relaxed look without using chemicals. LW, this article is for you 🙂
I’ve created a forum for you to send me your questions.

Avoid Terrycloth; Use Microfiber Instead
Always avoid wringing or rubbing hair with a towel, as this creates friction, breakage and split ends. Gently scrunch out most of the water with your fingers while you’re still in the shower. Rubbing hair with a towel will only break up the curls you just shaped. They key is to flip your head over and scrunch up. Microfiber is a super-absorbant fabric that reduces frizz and speeds up drying time. Microfiber does not disturb the cuticle; instead it smooths it down, reducing frizz.
